The recording happens in the cloud, and is saved to Microsoft Stream, so you can share it securely across your organization. Everyone in the meeting is then notified that recording has started. When the meeting is over or the recording stopped, the recording is processed which could take awhile and saved to Microsoft Stream, and then it's ready to play.

The person who started the recording receives an email from Microsoft Stream when the recording is available. Please let me know if you have any questions or concern.
